21/05/2026

The UK’s most feel-good talent competition is officially stepping things up another level as Homecare’s Got Talent (HCGT) unveils major new details for its biggest year yet – including live semi-final locations, a spectacular grand final venue and an exciting celebrity judging line-up, as the countdown begins for hopeful contestants to enter before applications close on 31st May.

Returning for 2026 with more energy, more talent and even more unforgettable moments, HCGT is once again inviting the UK’s homecare community to swap uniforms for stage lights and show the nation what they can really do. And this year, the competition is going on tour.

For the first time this year, live semi-finals will take place in London on 23rd June and Manchester on 24th June, before the competition builds to a spectacular live finale at The Crescent Theatre in Birmingham on 7th August 2026.

Bringing the glamour, the laughs and the tough decision making to our exciting celebrity judging line-up are Matt Jameson, Becky Measures and Si Stevens for the semi-finals. Bucks Fizz icon Jay Aston and musician Dave Colquhoun will take their seats on the grand final judging panel alongside The Voice UK star Kuill and more celebrity names still waiting in the wings.

Created to shine a spotlight on the personalities, passion and hidden talents within homecare, HCGT has rapidly become one of the sector’s most uplifting and talked-about initiatives – giving caregivers and other care professionals the chance to step outside their day jobs and into the spotlight.

From powerhouse singers and emotional performances to dancers, comedians and completely unexpected acts, this year’s competition is already shaping up to be the biggest, boldest and most entertaining yet.

Dan Archer, UK CEO of Visiting Angels, the homecare company behind the initiative, said the latest announcements mark an exciting new era for the competition. “HCGT has grown into something incredibly special and 2026 is going to be our biggest year yet. Announcing our semi-final cities and our grand final venue makes everything feel very real now – this is becoming a major live entertainment event for the care sector.

“One of the best things about HCGT is seeing people completely surprise themselves. We’ve had people walk onto the stage feeling nervous and leave with standing ovations, huge confidence and unforgettable memories. There’s so much hidden talent in homecare and this competition gives people the chance to finally show it.”

HCGT 2026 is proudly supported by headline sponsors and partners from across the care and business sectors. Gold sponsors include Lottie, Invoca, VCCM, Blue Light Card and Mobility Hire, alongside silver sponsors Aquatime, Supportis, SM92 and the British Franchise Association. Jelly Drops joins HCGT 2026 as the competition’s official Hydration Partner.

The competition is also backed by a wide network of corporate supporters from across the homecare sector, including Care Your Way, Percurra, Right at Home, Bluebird Care, Promedica24, the Homecare Association, Caremark, Radfield Home Care, CCH Group, Home Instead, Apollo Care, Heritage Healthcare, Walfinch and Visiting Angels, all encouraging carers across their teams to step forward and get involved.

The Care Workers Charity also returns as HCGT’s charity partner for the third consecutive year, with all proceeds raised through the competition helping to support care workers across the UK.

With applications closing on 31st May, the race is now on for homecare workers across the UK to put themselves forward and secure their shot at the HCGT stage.
