We joined Choice Home Tutoring in 2026 after looking carefully at a number of different opportunities. We are ex-teachers and educational leaders. From our earliest conversations with Jo and Colin, what stood out was how genuine, knowledgeable and supportive they were. They clearly care deeply about the families, tutors and franchisees they work with, and that gave us a great deal of confidence in joining the Choice network.
The training and support we received before launching Choice Home Tutoring East Kent was thorough and practical. Colin took us through everything from the day-to-day administration and systems to tutor recruitment, safeguarding, client relationships, marketing and the financial side of running the business. As new franchisees, it was reassuring to know that we could ask questions about even the smallest details and receive straightforward, experienced advice.
Since launching, that support has continued. Jo and Colin have remained extremely accessible whenever we have needed guidance, whether that has been about a particular client, recruiting tutors, developing the business or simply working through the inevitable questions that come with starting something new. The regular catch-ups have been particularly valuable in helping us review progress, solve problems and keep moving forward.
We have also really valued being part of the wider Choice network. There is a genuine sense that franchisees support one another and are willing to share their experience rather than simply operating as separate businesses.
Setting up a new business naturally comes with challenges, but having the Choice model, systems and the experience of Colin, Jo and the wider franchise network behind us has made the process considerably less daunting. We have felt supported from the beginning and are excited to continue developing Choice Home Tutoring East Kent.
