Julie is one of the most experienced franchise consultants in the UK. Her career in franchising began with the Prontaprint Group before becoming UK Franchise Director for a retail franchisor opening a chain of franchised outlets across the UK. In 1991 she established The Franchise Company and since then has worked on hundreds of successful franchising projects helping companies across a wide range of business sectors both within the UK and internationally. She has also taken the techniques of business franchising into the social enterprise sector working with a large number of charities and third sector organisations to enable them to scale.
Julie is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is a guest speaker for the British Franchise Association and HSBC Franchise Unit at new franchisor seminars, BFA national conference and the Women in Franchising annual conference. She has also been part of the judging panel for the British Franchise Association/HSBC Franchisor and Franchisee of the year awards judging entries from many of the UKs leading franchise brands.
Julie works with her own portfolio of clients supporting them through all aspects of franchise system development including developing the operational and financial models, producing the documents required for franchising including manuals, prospectus, recruitment marketing plan and documentation and the franchise agreement. Once the initial development work is completed then ongoing support is provided through the franchise launch, ongoing franchisee recruitment and specialist franchise staff training.
Julie works with some of the UKs leading franchise lawyers on the development of franchise agreements and the banks franchise units re franchisee funding for franchisor clients. She is also the host for The Franchise Company’s First Friday event that has invited guests talking about various areas of franchising in line with their experience and expertise.
