The Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100), the highly regarded yearly league table celebrating the best of UK franchisors, officially launches its 7th annual search on Tuesday 1st August. As entries open in just 10 days, franchisors nationwide gear up to demonstrate their excellence, innovation and impact in this fiercely competitive landscape.
The EF100, established in 2017, has become a key milestone in the UK franchise industry’s calendar, and this year promises to be no exception. Its comprehensive ranking system evaluates franchisors on a range of metrics, from company size and growth rate to their contributions to franchisees and the communities they serve.
This year, the judging panel includes representation from the lead sponsor HSBC UK – Anita Roberts, Franchise Director and Gillian Morris, UK Head of Franchising – and industry veterans Carl Reader, Chairman at d&t chartered accountants and strategic advisors, Pip Wilkins QFP, Chief Executive of the British Franchise Association, and Tim Morris, Managing Director of inbound communications specialist, Cymphony, among others. In addition to the coveted top 100 spots, the EF100 will also present special awards at the celebratory ceremony in London in early 2024. These include the BusinessesForSale.com EF100 Innovation of the Year Award, EF100 Emerging Franchisor of the Year Award and EF100 Community Builder of the Year Award. These awards recognise exceptional marketing innovation, commendable performance from new franchisors and extraordinary contribution to the franchise community, respectively.

The entries for EF100 open on Tuesday 1st August and will close on Friday 30th September at 5pm. Finalists will be announced on Monday 4th December 2023 and the HSBC EF100 Celebration & Awards evening will be taking place on Thursday 14th March 2024 at the Leonardo Royal, St Paul’s, London.
