When you’re thinking about starting your own business with a franchise like Cafe2U, it’s certainly important to focus on the numbers: building a customer base, bringing a decent income, creating a successful business of your own.
Sometimes, though, it’s what happens outside the numbers that makes the business so rewarding.
Meet Alex – our Cafe2U franchise partner in Hinckley
Once a month, Alex makes a regular visit to Pineapple Support Group, a charity supporting adults with learning difficulties. What started as a monthly booking has grown into something genuinely special. Alex loves spending time with the group, and the feeling is very much mutual, with his visits now something everyone looks forward to. It’s a lovely example of how a Cafe2U business can become part of the local community, building relationships that go far beyond simply serving great coffee.
This month, when the group came out to meet Alex, buzzing with excitement, that really showed, because they’d written and recorded a song for him.
“This nearly had me welling up today,” Alex told us. We can see why.
It’s one of the things that can make running your own Cafe2U franchise so rewarding: you’re not simply turning up somewhere, serving coffee and moving on, you get to know the people on your route, become part of the places you visit, and, if you choose to, build relationships that have very little to do with the coffee you’re actually selling.
Alex’s story is a great example of what can happen when you have your own route, your own customers and the freedom to decide what kind of business you want to build. Cafe2U gives you the training and launch support to get started, and the flexibility to build from a single van into a larger operation if that’s what you want, but what you make of that opportunity is entirely up to you.
For Alex, it’s become about much more than serving coffee, it’s about the people he’s met along the way.
Could you see yourself building something like that?
Why not request a ‘Discovery Call’, there’s no pressure, no sales pitch, just a conversation about the opportunity and whether it could be right for you. You can even join the new WhatsApp channel – it’s the best place for Cafe2U news, offers and behind-the-scenes updates from the vans, so make sure you ask for the link.
