The Creation Station is offering free creative ‘Lets Connect’ workshops for pupils in Primary Schools across the UK. The workshops are designed to support children’s positive mental health during The Place to Be’s – ‘Children’s Mental Health Week’ from 6th -12th of February.
The free workshops are being offered in response to the statistics that one in six children aged five to sixteen years are likely to have a mental health concern. (NHS report: ‘Mental Health of Children and Young People in England, 2020)
The free Creation Station ‘Lets’ Connect’ workshops include: hands-on creative fun activities to help children build connections with other pupils, create new friendships and strengthen existing friendships and enhance their wellbeing.
“There has never been a more important time to support children’s positive mental health” said Sarah Cressall CEO of The Creation Station. “We know engaging in creative activities can enhance children’s wellbeing. We are delighted to support schools and teachers with free creative workshops for their pupils”
Dawn M. from Worsley School in Kent said “Our children at Worsley Bridge School are absolutely loving the creative activities run by Creation Station. They are very proud of their work and look forward to taking part in different activities. They really enjoyed showing their creations to the rest of the school during an assembly and shared their enthusiasm for the fun that they have with Creation Station”.
