One of the region’s most prominent, award-winning businesses, is beginning a brand new chapter, as FASTSIGNS Chelmsford transitions to new management, under a familiar face.
Leading the centre’s next phase is former employee, Prosper Chuks, who joined the business in 2023 as a sign manufacturer, following an extensive career in IT and procurement.
The centre’s legacy is a strong one, having already won a slew of accolades, including FASTSIGNS’ own UK Centre of the Year Award for sales across seven consecutive years, Exceptional Sales and Project of the Year Awards, the renowned Global CEO Circle Award and the PMI Pinnacle Awards.
Alongside new management, the centre has also relocated to a 1,200 square ft unit on Dukes Park Industrial Estate, in Chelmsford, where it houses Epson Printers and a Zünd cutter, laminator and office workspace.
Prior to taking the helm, Prosper had risen to become the centre’s co-director, working as both a hands-on manufacturer and designer, while also dealing closely with creative customer briefs. He returns now as centre owner, where he will lead a team of seven.
While much of the centre’s original team has been retained, made up of production assistants, designers and HR personnel, recruitment is underway for supporting roles like an Outside Sales Professional, to help drive the business’ growth.
The centre will serve Central and Mid-Essex, including Chelmsford, Braintree and Witham, Maldon, Great Dunmow and the Dengie Peninsula (including Southminster), spanning the county of Essex.
Its next chapter will see it catering to businesses across the education, construction and healthcare sectors, as well as organisations in the hospitality and leisure industries.
Commenting on the transition, Prosper Chuks, centre manager at FASTSIGNS Chelmsford, said:
“Stepping up from previously managing the centre, to now owning it, is an incredible milestone for me. FASTSIGNS gave me my start in the industry and I’ve fallen in love with the craft and the local business community. Chelmsford, or the ‘new London’, as it’s now being described, is absolutely thriving and we’re thrilled to be back helping those businesses stand out.
“The centre, albeit in a new location now, has a really proud history and my goal is simple: to bring it back to the top. Moving to our new site gives us the room and technology to deliver even more for our clients, and I’m excited for this chapter.”
John Davies, FASTSIGNS UK managing director, added:
“Prosper’s journey with FASTSIGNS is a real success story. Having seen his dedication, business acumen and genuine passion for the craft first-hand as centre manager, I couldn’t be happier to see him take the reins as our latest franchisee, bringing a returning and successful centre back to the network.”
The newly-relocated centre is part of the growing FASTSIGNS UK network, which—earlier this year—welcomed its second West Midlands franchise, with the opening of FASTSIGNS Solihull. For more information on FASTSIGNS Chelmsford, visit https://www.fastsigns.co.uk/chelmsford/.
