Hello and welcome to Guardian Angel Carers,
You want to be your own boss, to succeed and to grow but to feel supported along the way. Ten years ago, I took the leap going from Olympian to business founder and now we’re searching for like-minded, passionate people to share our vision. I know that I could not have achieved my successes without having the best team around me. I believe our franchise network will give you the support you need to thrive.
Our hands-on approach, leading technology and best-in-class tried and tested model gives you the tools and standards to guide you as you build your business.
Now is a great time to start that journey. The care industry is in high demand and recognised as a Top 5 UK growth area. I know from our own recent experience Home Care is a robust sector, able to survive recessions and pandemics. It is also hugely rewarding, offering you the chance to run a successful business whilst giving back and feeling valued.
I’m excited to offer a wide choice of prime UK territories to people who share our values and have the drive and energy to be the best. As you take this exciting new step, I encourage you to choose a great team to support you. If you think you have got what it takes to win in the care sector, we’d love to talk to you.
Christina Handasyde Dick, Founder, Guardian Angel Carers

What we’re part of
Care never stops, and more people need our services than ever. The UK Care sector is a top-five growth area. So there is both a need and an incredible opportunity to support those elderly and younger adults who want to live independently at home for longer.
You can now help meet that demand and deliver the highest standards of compassionate care through our proven franchise model, wherever you are based in the UK.
What we need from you
You don’t have to be from the care sector to become a Guardian Angel Carer franchisee, but we believe it’s important you care about owning a business that can make a difference.
You will need to have leadership qualities that can inspire, drive, innovate, and problem solve at pace. You should also be willing to embrace all aspects of running a home care business and, importantly, support a team whose work is mentally and emotionally demanding but incredibly rewarding.
“Owning a Guardian Angel Carers franchise has changed my life. It’s not as though I’ve got to be work Lou and home Lou – they don’t differ. I’m driven by the same values, with the same goals of positivity, to make a difference and succeed.” Lou Cobban, Franchisee
In the spirit of Christina’s Olympian values, training and individual coaching is a continual and integral, part of the way we work. It is something we provide for every member of our CareAngel, HQ and franchise family. Every franchisee will also receive the support of an external, independent Coach to support their professional development.
We have created award-winning programmes for care training and employee wellness, available for all members of our team and franchises. We are proud to have been shortlisted for the Great British National Care Awards 2020 ‘Care Employer Of The Year’.
Once we have established that we are the right fit for each other and you start to look more closely at what’s involved, Christina and the team will be on hand to offer one-to-one business insight and personal support to help you do your homework and build your franchise plan. It can take up to three months and our support includes helping you with:
Upon signing our contract, we then stay by your side every step of the way to offer guidance, training and advice as you prepare your CQC registration, recruit your first CareAngels, open your branch and welcome your first clients.
Training, guidance and support are continual in all we do, to improve all we do.
When you open your franchise branch and start to build your client base, your days will be filled with organisational activities, team development, rota and care plans. You’ll also be marketing, developing and nurturing your client and community relationships.
You and your CareAngel team will be delivering a broad range of Home Care services – companionship, shopping, domestic services, personal care, medication, live-in and complex care. You will also offer specialist care for conditions such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
The majority of your clients will be the older generation. But you will also be assisting clients from age 18 to be supported to live at home independently, plus adults with terminal illnesses in need of palliative and end-of-life care.
You can expect to feel rewarded and energised by the work you do to provided Home Care services to people in their homes, where we know many actively choose and prefer to be when care is needed – because Home Care is happiest.
“Christina and the HQ Franchise Team will always talk about ‘we’ – ‘we’ are going to do this, ‘we’ will achieve this, ‘we’ will do that. It really makes me feel like we’re a team.”. Lou Cobban, Pilot Franchise, Spelthorne
