Lucy Murray, owner of Little Dreams Chelmsford and Colchester a Baby and Child Sleep Consultancy, has been named a finalist in the prestigious NatWest Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWiF) Awards 2024. The NatWest EWiF Awards celebrate and recognise the remarkable achievements of women in the franchising industry across the UK.
This year, Lucy has been nominated in the New Woman Franchisee of the Year category, which recognises the most successful new woman franchisees during 2023. This nomination demonstrates exceptional contributions, innovative approach, and dedication to fostering growth and success within the franchising community.
Lucy has been running Little Dreams Chelmsford and Colchester since December 2023, working with over 100 families to improve their child’s sleep through personalised packages as well as supporting 100’s more through online workshops, in person events and on social media. As a mum to three primary aged children, leaving a successful career in Higher Education was a big step, but one she is really proud of and loves the flexibility for her family and career that Little Dreams has given her.
Lucy was nominated by Jenna Wilson and Fay Smith, the co-founders of Little Dreams Franchise following the outstanding first year she has delivered. This includes not only supporting families but also providing content for charities, partnerships across Essex with Baby and Toddler classes where she provides free advice and also being an active part of the wider Little Dreams franchise.
Jenna says “we are so incredibly proud of Lucy and everything she has achieved in her first year as a franchisee. Not only reaching her personal and financial goals but the collaborations she has made and what an asset she is to the wider network. She really is incredible and one to watch!”
Lucy commented, “I am incredibly honoured to be recognised as a finalist in the NatWest EWiF Awards,” said Lucy. “This nomination is a testament to the hard work and passion that I have poured into Little Dreams Chelmsford and Colchester. It is a privilege to be acknowledged among such inspiring and accomplished women in the franchising sector.”
The NatWest EWiF Award ceremony will take place on 18th October at The Royal Armouries, Leeds, where winners will be announced and celebrated. The event brings together industry leaders, franchisors, franchisees, and supporters to acknowledge and applaud the contributions of women who are shaping the future of franchising.
