To congratulate the team on their success Revive! agreed to match every single one of the donations, bringing the total donation to £5,726.
Mark Llewellyn, CEO of Revive! UK said: “I couldn’t be prouder of my team, they’ve worked incredibly hard taking on a wide range of challenges this year. MNDA is such a worthy organisation that does incredible work for those with Motor Neurone Disease and their loved ones. It is a charity very close to Revive! and one we are proud to continue raising money for every year.”
Highlight challenges included some of the leadership team kayaking 14 miles down the River Wye, a group walking in the Lake District and Sales Administrator Thom Palmer running 50KM in just 10 days! Owners of Revive! Chester, Mike and Liz Haselden also faced their fears and took on the longest Zipline in the UK for their challenge.
Understanding Motor Neurone Disease
Motor neurone disease affects the nerves known as motor neurones. These nerves are found in the brain and spinal cord and they help tell your muscles what to do. MND affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. There is a 1 in 300 risk of getting MND across a lifetime. It can affect adults of any age but is more likely to affect people over 50.
“Revive! have always been an extremely high-performance business, putting our all into everything we do, that includes our repairs and our charity work. To raise a record figure seven years into an event is fantastic and really reflects the dedication of our team, always trying to better their achievements”, concluded Mark.
This year’s campaign was the seventh running of Revive!’s Kebsi campaign which the business organizes each year in the memory of Kevin ‘Kebsi’ Gartland, brother of former Managing Director Terry Mullen, who sadly passed away in 2020 as a result of MND. The Kebsi 2026 campaign brings the results of Revive!’s fundraising to over £25,000 in support of the MNDA.
