When you’re thinking about putting your savings into a business, and embarking on a whole new career, you need to know the opportunity is right for you. So, whose opinion should you put the most trust in?
We can tell you all about the benefits of a Radfield Home Care franchise, and the franchisor themselves has plenty to say on a call, too, if you’re ready for that. You can also speak to other franchise partners who have been where you are now, or check out some of their success stories on this site; we think those real-life stories are especially valuable.
However, when someone who isn’t even part of the franchise, doesn’t even have a stake in it, and has absolutely nothing to gain from your decision, then takes a hard look and tells you they like what they see, that’s something you should really pay attention to.
Which is why we wanted to share this latest news with you. Earlier this month, Forbes published a piece on what it takes for franchising to work well, and Radfield Home Care was one of the brands they chose to feature.
Why this matters…
The article is a very interesting one, but it’s mostly aimed at business people who want to franchise themselves. If you like, you can read the full article (Franchising Can Accelerate Growth But Is Your Business Ready?) on the Forbes.com website, in their Small Business/Entrepreneurs section; you can also search for the article on the site, using its full title.
There are some good quotes and statistics in there. However, it’s not so much what’s in the article we think is important to you, but the fact that it exists at all.
Forbes is one of the most widely read business publications in the world. Its writers return to franchising regularly, because it’s such a successful system for both established businesses and those who want to start their own. There are nearly 1000 franchises operating in the UK, so, when senior contributor Alison Coleman set out to show what franchising done well looks like, she had plenty to choose from.
Three were featured, and Radfield was the only care business among them.
It wasn’t an advert or a paid placement. Radfield couldn’t buy its way into that article, and no writer at this level is going to put their name to a business they aren’t sure about.
A feature in Forbes won’t make your decision for you, and it shouldn’t. What it does give you is confirmation, from a publication with nothing to gain from your choice, that the franchise you’re considering is held up as an example of how franchising should work. It sits alongside the Outstanding CQC ratings across the network and the Most Outstanding National Home Care Group award as one more independent voice reaching the same conclusion.
It also helps with the conversations that matter most. If you’ve ever tried to explain to a partner or family member why you’re seriously considering a franchise, you’ll know how much easier that becomes when you can point to something independent.
Ready to form your own view?
Even though the Forbes article is a big deal, what really matters here is your opinion. So, what do you think of the Radfield Home Care franchise? What else do you need to know to decide whether or not it’s right for you?
