Premium Visiting and Live-in Homecare franchise GoodOaks have won the prestigious title at the 2023 Leaders in Care Awards. Holding their position amongst many other entrants, GoodOaks Homecare went on to secure the highly sought after win.
GoodOaks, the UK’s first carbon neutral homecare company, was founded in 2011 by ex-care professionals Ben Ashton and Darius Mitkus. They franchised their business in 2016 and now have over 20 locations across the UK.
They have strong links across UK communities and are involved in a number of innovative projects and collaborations as well as practical and E-learning platforms for staff, franchise partners and care teams.
Commenting on the win, GoodOaks Co-Founder Ben Ashton said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award and are enormously proud of our achievements over the past decade. At GoodOaks, we believe the care sector has huge potential, and that if we all continue to innovate and adapt, we can meet the challenges facing us.
Our 2023 innovations have focused on a number of projects including collaborating with a local university in a study of nutritional care for people living with dementia at home. We have also gone one step beyond offsetting our carbon emissions with the launch of a pilot of Urban Mobility Objects as a way to further decarbonise and reduce air pollution for our whole community. The importance of outstanding care and best practice has been recognised in our ongoing investments in innovation in learning and development and we’ve very proud.”
The winners were announced at a gala black-tie event following at the NEC in Birmingham on the 10th October.
